Today I wanted to share something I made for my sister.
This is a late Christmas present that I sent her last week (I'm not usually late like that) and she was so excited when she opened the box!  It made all the work worth it.  I'm not great at sewing, but I made it through all the frustration of having to unpick stitches a few times and having to figure out just what the instructions were actually telling me to do, and came up with this.  Boy am I glad it's all done!

Purse, Checkbook cover, and make-up pouch.
Here's the inside and outside of the little make-up pouch.

Here's the inside and outside of the checkbook cover and I put a Stampin' Up! pen inside.
I used one of the Antique brads from Stampin' Up! for the outside of the magnetic snap.
I also did some machine embroidery in two places.

My sister absolutely loved these fabrics!
Here's the inside and outside of the purse.

This picture gives you an idea of the size of the purse.
I added a flower pin that I cut out using the Big Shot and some flower dies along with a button.

I hope everyone has a very happy Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day ladies!

  1. Jerri Ann, you did a beautiful job. Now I want to buy more fabric LOL.
I usually buy the new fabric and then it just sits there because I don't know what to do with it, but now you have given me some great ideas. TFS

BTW, do you have the patterns, I would love to get them. Thanks
